Asked Questions
There are a few ways to book a tattoo appointment. You can email palemoontattoo@gmail.com. Please include your name, your availability, a description of what you're wanting to do and any pictures or references you may have. You can also just fill out one of our fancy forms here!
You can also call the shop at 812-989-3449 to speak to an artist. If we do not pick-up it is because we are all tattooing, feel free to text us with your message and someone will respond as soon as possible.
You may also just drop by! If you want to make sure someone is there first just give us a call or text.
The process can vary greatly depending on what you are wanting to do. If it's a custom design an artist will often request you have a free in person consultation with them to discuss the design.
If the design is fairly small and simple, a consultation may not be necessary and you can skip right to the appointment/deposit part!
Or! We love walk ins! Especially for tattoo flash. Some of our artists regularly make flash sheets of their own designs or we have hundreds of flash sheets from other artists throughout tattoo history to choose from. You can make an artists day by choosing some awesome flash. 😉
This varies greatly depending on the artist you choose, the design you want, the time it takes to do the tattoo, the style of the tattoo, and so on.
Some of our artists are $150 an hour, two of our newer artists are $120 hourly. Sometimes pieces are a flat rate price based on the design. Some are hourly based on the time it takes to complete the tattoo. Large projects are often broken up into multiple sessions.

Potentially yes, however, we definitely want you to reach out to your artist beforehand and let them know if you intend to. Some artists have different policies on numbing creams because they can effect the tightness and reaction of your skin during the procedure. Please talk to your artist before arriving with a numbing agent on your skin.
Absolutely, please just tell your artist if you would prefer for privacy screens to be put up during your tattoo and we will be happy to do so. Above all we want you to feel safe and comfortable during the tattoo.
NO. Absolutely not. Some of our artists are immunocompromised and it could be detrimental to their health were they to get sick. Reschedule your appointment no matter what. The artist will understand and it'll be for the best for everyone involved.
NO! We do not. We can recommend shops that do however if you need a recommendation!
No. We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18 even with parental consent. There are a lot of reasons for this, if you'd like more information feel free to email us.
