Policies

SCHEDULING

 

Each artist schedules their own appointments. However, you can email palemoontattoo@gmail.com for general questions or inquiries, or fill out one of the contact forms on this website and we will be happy to direct you to the right artist for your project! 

Artist emails are listed on their individual pages, or on their respective websites (Molly & Shayne).

We also have a phone, 812-989-3449, if we do not pick up everyone is tattooing, please leave a message or send a text. We do accept walk ins most days with some of our artists. Wednesdays are special walk-in days from 12-7pm weekly.

 

DEPOSITS

 

A tattoo deposit must be paid with an artist to begin work on a tattoo design, and to secure a tattoo appointment. Each artist takes their own payment and different artists require different amounts varying from $60-$100. For large scale pieces some of our artists may require a larger deposit. The deposit will be applied to the cost of the tattoo. 

 

All tattoo deposits are non-refundable. 

 

A deposit will also be forfeited if:

 

  • You do not appear for a tattoo appointment and do not give your artist 48 hours notice
  • You arrive more than 30 minutes late to a tattoo appointment without notifying your artist

 

We understand that unfortunate events happen, and you may not be able to make it to your appointment, but please contact your artist and let them know with as much ample time as you can so they may fill your spot. Most of our artists are booked about a month or more out. 

Once again, if you are sick, please do not come in, and you will most likely not lose your deposit unless this is an ongoing issue (IE: rescheduling multiple times in a row), but please let your artist know as soon as possible. 

Our artist's current rate for tattoos starts at $120-$150 an hour and varies by artist, and final prices are based on total time and/or size of the artwork. The minimum price is $100. Please ask your artist individually for their rates.

 

PAPERWORK AND LEGALITIES

 

We require paperwork and two forms of identification. New Albany Health Department requires us to get two forms of ID.

  • One valid photo ID (photo, current, with full name and birthdate) 
  • The second form of ID can be anything with your name on it. (Library card, credit card, etc) 

Clients must be 18+. 

We do NOT tattoo anyone under the age of 18 at Pale Moon Tattoo, even with parent consent.

 

PAYMENT

 

All the artists at PMT accept cash. Beyond that it is up to the individual artist what payment forms they accept. Some are able to take cards, some paypal, cashapp, venmo, etc. Please ask your artist directly what forms of payment they accept. 

 

GIFT CERTIFICATES

 

We do sell gift certificates. All of our artists take their own payments and sell their own gift certificates. Please contact your artist of choice to make arrangements. We do also sell general gift certificates for any artist, you can stop by the shop or email palemoontattoo@gmail.com and we can send the file digitally as well.

 

ADDITIONAL POLICIES

 

  • We do NOT do piercings. 
  • We do NOT tattoo any symbols from extremist or hate groups. 
  • We do NOT tolerate harassment of any kind in our building.
  • We do NOT allow children in the building. 
  • We do NOT tolerate racist, homophobic, transphobic, or sexist language. 
  • If you are drunk or under the influence we will NOT tattoo you.
  • Do NOT haggle with our artists. 
  • We reserve the right to decline services for any of these reasons stated above.
